This Grand Canyon tour is purposely designed to be 8 days in length for you to enjoy Arizona’s sights by buffering a full travel day on each end of the tour. Our tours consist of small groups of no more than 14 guests and a private guide. It is also customizable. We can modify it to spend more time in specific places and enjoy different activities.

Depart Las Vegas early this morning and start your travels with your first stop in Kingman, AZ for a brief experience with the Route 66 Museum in the Old Kingman Powerhouse and a drive down Andy Devine BLVD. Afterwards, hop on I-40 and drive to Williams where you will enjoy lunch on your own at one of the local eateries and a chance to explore this historic Railroad town. After lunch, you will travel north to Grand Canyon National Park. This park will offer you the opportunity to look down or hike down into the Grand Canyon and experience the majesty and grandeur of this park. Hikes on the South Kaibab Trail are available to Ohh Ahh Point, Cedar Rest, or for the hearty soul, Skeleton Point. You also have the option of taking the shuttle out to Hopi point and the other stops on the way. You can also take a scenic walk along the rim of the canyon between Mather Point and the Geology Museum, or walk the trail of time between the geology museum and El Tovar Hotel. End your day with a picnic dinner on the rim of the Grand Canyon overlooking this majestic wonder.

Begin your day exploring out to Hermits Rest with an optional hike below the rim along with multiple viewpoints in this section of the South Rim. Afterwards you will have time for an early lunch at the Canyon Village on your own. Once finished you will continue sightseeing in Grand Canyon National Park as you travel along the rim toward the east entrance of the park. Along the way, you will stop at Grandview Point, the site of the first hotel on the rim of the canyon, and Desert Watchtower. After Desert Watchtower, stop for at historic Cameron Trading Post for the opportunity to see authentic Navajo workmanship and craftsmanship.
This afternoon will be another filled with wonder and beauty as you explore Horseshoe Bend overlooking the Colorado River. You will finish the day at this location as the sun starts to set on the Vermillion Cliffs.

Begin your day with an early tour of Upper Antelope Canyon on a Navajo Guided Experience. This sandstone slot canyon, renowned for its undulating angles and light shafts will fill your morning with a thrill you won’t soon forget. You will be guided through the iconic sandstone walls, shaped by years and years of water and wind. Your tour guide will show you places through the canyon to take memorable photos, tell you some history of the canyon, and some local history about the Navajo People.
Once finished you will travel through the Hopi Nation. This will be a full day of touring. You will start the experience with a view of Coalmine Canyon, one of the hidden gems of Hopi, and enjoy a brief insight into Hopi pottery – and take a selfie! Enjoy the Moenkopi Fields overlook while en route and enjoy some discussion on Hopi agriculture.

Next you will tour the village of Old Oraibi: the oldest, continuously inhabited settlement in North America. Enjoy a visit to Hopi Arts Trail member Hamana So’oh’s Gallery, located in the heart of the village, and take a short tour led by your guide followed by a visit to the home workshop of Hopi Arts Trail member and silversmith Duane Tawahongva.
To finish the day you will visit Prophecy Rock, an amazing single Petroglyph with an enchanting story that connects you with the one of the core principles of Hopi life.
Following your visit to Prophecy Rock your guide will take you to Dawa Park, a natural box canyon with ancient walls covered with thousands of petroglyphs from different eras. Dawa Park is a window back in time, transporting you to the days of the ancients.
Once finished you will finish your journey to Winslow, Arizona. Once in Winslow, you will check into the La Posada Hotel. This is one of the few Fred Harvey Houses still operating, a relic from the glory days of travel by rail and Route 66. Enjoy your evening in this historic town.

This morning, enjoy touring the Petrified Forest National Park. Start with the beautiful scenery and cascading colors found in the Painted Desert area. You will also visit one of the old remnants of historic Route 66 as it passed through this area. After the painted desert, you will get to explore the ancient, petrified forests that have been lying dormant for millions of years in this area. There are multiple formations and hikes to explore and visit, along with more views and vistas of the Painted Desert. You will learn about these unique and rare geological specimens and their unique history. After lunch in Holbrook, travel back past Flagstaff and into Oak Creek Canyon for a scenic drive to Sedona. When you arrive, you will have the evening free to explore the Old Town area or the Tlaquepaque Arts Village, or hike on the many trails that are found in this area.

This morning you can rise and enjoy a hike in the Sedona area with the sun. Your choices are between Devil’s Bridge, a fantastic 166-ft natural bridge tucked up in a canyon behind the town, or you can explore Oak Creek Canyon, Bell Rock, or one of the many other formations in this area. Once finished, you will get to experience a classic must do in Sedona, a Pink Jeep Tour of the Broken Arrow Trail. This is their exclusive trail and offers the best seat in the house for exploring the amazing red-rock formations of Sedona!

Once finished you will continue your adventure by traveling up the mountain to Jerome. The historic mining town of Jerome is home to some fantastic histories of the miners, mine owners, and outlaws who made this one of the most wicked and richest towns in the western United States. Reduced to a ghost town, this town is experiencing a resurgence of growth with artists and some great restaurants. You will enjoy a few hours learning about this history and other fascinating things that occurred in this western boomtown. You will then travel over historic Mingus Mountain and then into Prescott where you will get to explore the first state capital of Arizona when it was a territory. Your day will finish with dinner on your own in the historic downtown of Prescott.

Today you can explore, hike, or kayak on the Granite Dells of Prescott. These formations have a beautiful reservoir nestled within their peaks. You will spend a few hours visiting this area before returning to your hotel to refresh and check out before departing for the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. This short drive is full of beautiful vistas and unique landscapes with the most unique being the Saguaro Cactus!
Upon arrival in Scottsdale, you will have the rest of the evening free to enjoy and explore Old Town Scottsdale, the Desert Botanical Gardens, or Camelback Mountain.
