Pick up in Salt Lake City. Transfer to Moab. Drive into Canyonlands for the afternoon. You will have the opportunity to take in the grand vistas and beautiful canyons, monoliths, spires, mesas, and buttes that are scattered throughout this region. You will enjoy views of the Colorado and Green Rivers as they continue to carve out the base of the canyon from Mesa Arch, Grand Viewpoint, Dead Horse Point and other areas along the way. You will arrive in Moab in the late afternoon for a relaxing evening on the town
Travel to Monument Valley. On the way, stop at the Sand Island Petroglyph site. Also, visit the Goosenecks of the San Juan River. Continue past Mexican Hat into Monument Valley. Enjoy lunch at the View restaurant overlooking the Valley, then travel into the valley for a 2-3 hour tour with stops at all the great viewpoints made famous throughout the years by hundreds and thousands of movies, TV shows, commercials, and other advertisements. You will return to Moab late in the afternoon for another relaxing evening in town.
Today we will explore Arches National Park. For those interested, you can hike up to Delicate Arch. For others you can enjoy counting the many arches that are scattered throughout the Windows Section, and then explore Devils Garden and a chance to see the largest arch in the world, Landscape Arch. You will enjoy an afternoon of free time in Moab before gathering for a sunset hummer tour overlooking Moab.
This morning, you have the option of enjoying an early morning walk to Morning Glory Bridge or Corona Arch before returning to Salt Lake City. We will arrive in the afternoon around 4:00 pm.
