Itinerary:

  • You will meet your guide early this morning at your hotel in Las Vegas (not included). From the lights of Las Vegas you will make your way towards the vast expanse of one of the world’s greatest wonders – The Grand Canyon.  Enroute you will have the opportunity to enjoy driving on the longest continuous section of the Historic Route 66 by starting from Kingman, Az and drive through Hackberry, Valentine, Peach Springs, and end Route 66 with a brief stop at Delgadillo's Snow Cap (a historic Route 66 eatery and roadside attraction) in Seligman, AZ.  Then on to Williams, AZ via Interstate 40.

Once you arrive at the Grand Canyon, you will have the opportunity to visit the many viewpoints on the rim including Mather Point, Yavapai Point, Yaki Point, Powell Point and many others. You can stroll along the rim or for the more adventurous individuals, you can hike down the South Kaibab Trail or Bright Angel Trail into the canyon itself.  You can stay out at the canyon and have dinner at one of the many restaurants on the rim and even watch the sunset.  One finished for the day, you will return to Tusayan, AZ where you will lodge for the night at the Red Feather Lodge.

    Lunch & Dinner:  Not included

  • Today, enjoy more of the Grand Canyon South Rim. You will visit the Grandview Point and the Desert Watchtower and a few viewpoints and areas in between. Once you leave the park this morning, you will travel to Cameron Junction for a brief stop before traveling along the edge of the Painted Desert to Page, AZ.  After lunch in town you will have the choice of exploring Upper or Lower Antelope Canyon.  Upper Antelope Canyon is less strenuous and is strikingly beautiful. Its half mile walk is on even ground and easy to do. Lower Antelope Canyon is more adventurous that requires a 2-mile hike on uneven terrain and scrambling.   Lower Antelope Canyon is also very scenic and is worth the exploration.

Once finished you will transfer to back to Page, AZ and enjoy a 2-mile round-trip hike out to Horseshoe Bend and a photo stop at Glen Canyon Dam before retiring to your hotel. You will be free to enjoy Page, AZ for the evening.

    Breakfast Included
    Lunch & Dinner:  Not included

  • This morning, you will travel to the official start of the Grand Canyon at the Historic Navajo Bridge and Cathedral Gorge with a picture taking stop at the Antelope Pass Scenic Overlook (a sweeping view of the Marble Platform, Vermilion Cliffs and Kaibab Plateau at this highway pullout on the Navajo Reservation). You will have the opportunity to walk across the Navajo Bridge and look for condors who usually roost under the girders before hiking through Cathedral Gorge to the Colorado River at the official start of the Grand Canyon. This is a great 2-mile round trip hike with fantastic rock formations.

Once finished with Cathedral Gorge, you will travel west into the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument and the Kaibab plateau. You will enjoy beautiful views of the Vermillion Cliffs while driving along, with a stop at House Rock Valley Overlook (excellent view of House Rock Valley and a portion of the Vermilion Cliffs far in the distance), and a stop at LeFeve Point Overlook (the best view of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument is obtained) before descending off the Kaibab plateau.  After lunch in Kanab, UT, you will travel into Hurricane, UT and enjoy scenic views of the Cannan Mountains and  Zion National Park before returning to Las Vegas, NV.  Return time is scheduled no later than 6:00 PM.
